A lot of First's in our house

"dadada" This is the word that is being heard around our house.

Yesterday while mom and I were at Wal-Mart waiting to get our hair cuts Lane started saying the word "dada". Luckily my mother in law ran into us so both Grandma's got to hear Lane's first word.

I called Justin so he could listen to it. He was pretty happy, though he said sorry that his first word wasn't mom. I told him I didn't care, I thought it was cool that he was actually saying a word.

Another Milestone

Just in time for Aunt J to graduate from dental assistant Lane gets his first tooth.

Justin's sister graduated last Friday from tech school. She had a party to celebrate and Lane wore his "My Auntie is the Best" onesie. Of course I didn't get a picture of J did so maybe I could steel if from here.

It was a beautiful weekend weather and just over all.

Saturday was spent with my mom finishing up her "new look" for her bathroom while Justin and Lane hung out. Also Lane had some time with Grandma P at the farm while Grandpa D and Dad did some things around the farm.

Then we grilled out and played outside in our swing and watched the dogs run around the yard. Lane loves the dogs. He's going to be a animal lover just like his mom.

Sunday we had a baby shower for a friend and hung out with Jamie and Tyler. Also it was Lane's first day wearing shorts. I love this nice weather and putting Lane in shorts. His legs look so funny in them.

Monday after work Lane and I went for a walk with Grandma C. Grandma was checking his gums for any white things sticking out and sure enough there was a sharp object sticking out. HIS FIRST TOOTH!!! I was so happy it finally showed through. Though he's been a bear about it lately, I know why.

Yesterday I went to SF with mom to find a faucet for her "new look" bathroom because Lowes in town had nothing. We met up with my aunt and her daughters. BOy did Lane love all the attention from those girls. He soaked that right up. We bought some new shoes as well while we were here. He's now styling in a pair of blue and black shoes and some blue and orange sandles.

Now we are waiting and hoping the weather stays nice for this weekend so we can have a nice beautiful weekend has a family of 3. No plans except hanging out together.

We are 7 months old now and this is what happens with anything that comes close to my hands.

Weekend with Daddy

Again I can't believe Lane is 6 months old. Actually come to think of it less than 15 days he'll be 7 months old.

New things Lane is doing. Sitting up by himself, sitting in grocery carts and resturant high chairs. He really enjoys sitting in the grocery carts because he can see EVERYTHING and is very fasinated by everything. The world is getting bigger to him. He's also pulling himself up when he's on his stomach.

Friday my mom and I and Lane headed to SF to meet my Aunt for the big Rummage Sales. Found some great deals and had a awesome time. Of course we had Ruby Tuesday's for lunch, its a tradition now. Its so much easier to do things when I don't have to lug a carseat around I can just lug Lane around. Saturday we hung out with some friends and Lane and Justin had some male bonding time with a few other guys. Its good for both of them!!

Sunday went to church and had brunch with mom, dad, Jesse and Katelyn(J's g/f) and then headed to the farm to help Grandma Peggy with chores since Grandma Vostad is out in the Hills turkey hunting. Lane had his first ride in the big RED tractor. No picture of that but here are some pictures of Lane checking out the horses again. He reaches for things he wants now.

Sunday night was bath time and while I was getting the bath ready Daddy and Lane had some more bonding time.

He can sit on the 4 wheeler all by him self. He loves sitting on it and pushing the buttons.

My baby is growing up!!

Moving Machine

Now that I've changed my background and font colors for the millionth time... Spring!!

Last night I found that we will have to baby proof and put our baby gate up now. Lane is a moving machine in his walker. I have a video at how fast he goes and moves around.

I put him in his walker and in the living room while I washed his bottles. I stopped to check on him to make sure he didn't get stuck in a corner or pick up something he shouldn't and he some how managed to wiggle his way around the little L shaped hallway where we took out some walls last winter got himself from the living room to the kitchen. I was very impressed he just looked at me and smiled and continued to venture around the house.

Good thing we have a fairly small house that he can't get lost in. Wonder if he'll skip crawling and go straight to walking??? Good thing I have all this time to chase after a little guy!!!!

OH MY Goodness is baby season arrived. Tons of babies being born or about to be born, and 99% of them are girls. Lane will have lots of g/f's to choose from. A guy Justin works with him and his wife are expecting a girl in June. My mom's neighbor are due in May but dont think they will be able to hold out that long. She's like me big and ready to pop any day. Poor thing!

One thing I have to admit I was looking at a picture of a little girl that was just born and she had her cute little headband with a flower and oh my it made me think of a little baby and how cute they are. A LITTLE I mean LITTLE baby fever in me. Now don't get me wrong, I never said I wanted another one now(HECK NO) but I just had that moment of little baby in my arms.
Though I like now that Lane likes to "hang" out with his mommy in the mornings. He sits in my lap while watching his new favorite show Special Agent Oso. I hope I'm not turning my kid into a TV junkie. But he doesn't watch it all the time just in the mornings so I can finish getting ready.

Justin and I are spring cleaning on Saturday so Grandma Coleen gets a fun filled day with Lane. She is looking forward to it.

Lane is now liking, peas, carrots, peaches, pears and bananas. Yummy!!! And he is really concurring the eating thing down.

Oh yes and last week was our first week alone without Justin and we survived and had a wonderful weekend with him.

I guess last weekend was Easter. Didn't take many pictures because we were to busy enjoying the beautiful weather Sunday at my aunt and uncles farm. Lane liked going for a walk and seeing the chickens they are a little strange to him. The Easter Bunny was very good to him, chocolate, clothes, book, baby food, toy CAT truck, $$$, stuffed duck, bubble wand(mom used at the farm).
Thanks to Cousin Konnor who got him a bunch of empty eggs and a cool race car basket.

I cant wait for this weather to really start getting nice to play outside with Lane and Tuff and Roper!
