I like my Veggies

Last night we decided it was time to try some baby food and the first thing we tried was PEAS!!!

No funny face and ate them right up, he loved them. Must have been all the veggies I ate while pregnant with him. He's like his mother loves his vegtables.

Here is Lane in his walker, he sure loves checking Cali out!

You can see he is "trying" to move, last night it was backwards he couldn't get the concept of going forward. It was entertaining!

Farm Life is Wonderful

SPRING IS HERE!!!

Yippy for the beautiful weather we are having.
Sunday we went to the farm and check out the animals. It was Lane's first time seeing the cows and horses. He was more interested in the horses ( mommy is happy about that one). Of course I didn't get any pictures, we'll have to try for this weekend if its nice while we are out there for Easter.

Lane got his 2nd RED(thats for you Erica) tractor from Grandpa Vostad this weekend. Grandpa won it at the Cattleman's Banquet last Monday and since Cousin Konnor already had one he gave it to Lane. Lane loved it becaue it was big, made noises and had lights and something he can touch and move around. His favorite color might be red, influenced by Grandpa V.

Sunday morning we put him in his walker to see if he could finally touch the floor and sure enough he was moving around. Its more of a move your arms and legs and you move around the house. He is very fasinated with Cali our cat so she was walking around, he was getting all excited and before he knew it he was moving along with her. I'll have to get a picture of it.
I'm not that great at getting pictures right away. I'm guessing in a couple months Cali isn't going to be to impressed with Lane. Mobile Kid!!!

First week Mommy and Son...daddy is back at work
This will be my first week alone. Justin went back to work this morning, which is a good thing for the pocket book but I'll miss the help at night.
We did great this morning I'm used to getting Lane and myself ready in the morning so that was nothing but I had to add letting the dogs out too and getting Lane his new food. I started giving him applesauce this past weekend so he got that this morning. We'll try peas tonight.
I had 15 minutes to spare this morning and Lane did great for me waking him up earlier than normal. And he loves his applesauce. We got a bunch of baby food from a friend (Thanks Nicole) and I was going through them the other day and thought why not try some since Lane is ALWAYS hungry. Of course its food so he loves it.

Tuff & Roper's "roomate" left this weekend so we are down to 2 dogs. I love the dog but 3 is WAY to many dogs for me and expecially when Roper and Hooch don't get along.

This weekend is Easter which we'll be enjoying the company of family. Hope I can get some pictures up.

What a beautiful weekend!!!!

Our Start to a busy weekend.

Friday my mom and Lane and I went to SF to go shopping with my aunts. Of course we went to Ruby Tuesday's for lunch. All of our favorites, yummy salad bar. Shopping is very tiring but when you have a little guy as well it becomes exhausting. This time I went shopping for myself. Got a few shirts which I'm really pleased with, usually I can't find anything to fit me. Darn post pregnancy tummy or as I call it my C-Section tummy. Ugh!!

And I went shopping for Lane the other day online and bought some cute things. Can't wait for the nice weather to come.


Saturday we headed to the Chiropractor in DeSmet Dr. Dobson a great Dr with mom and Uncle Jesse. He found that Lane was short on calcium that was causing the ear infections. And he also found that Lane is teething. We started L on calcium 2 pills a day and so far since we've put him on it no tylenol or stuff for his gums. He is a happy camper. The calcium sure changed his attitude. So we ahve a happy little teething guy. I'm so glad we dont have to use tylenol on him. Now he just needs to get caught up on his sleep.

Saturday afternoon we had a birthday party for our Friends 2 yr old and 1 yr old. We hadn't seen them for a while, boy are those kids growing fast. Very fun to see them. Lane was very entertained with all the kids running around. Then we headed to church where he got to cuddle with grandma. Then the last 10 minutes passed out in mommy's arms. A 20lb(guessing) little boy gets heavy after a while.

Lane loved all the attention, mainly I think because they were young girls ohing and ahing over him.
My cousin did awesome she got 1st on her floor routine(I believe). 4th over all.
She Rocked!

Lane found that sucking on fingers while teething is a good idea.
Overall it was a great weekend spent with my family.

And came Monday and Tuesday morning I need a nap, but this beautiful weather keeps me going. Tuesday morning it was a English Toffee Cappuccino!!!

Let the Games Begin

Good Afternoon

Last week we got our carpet in both bedroom which was a little crazy getting all of Lane's furniture and ours out of the rooms and into the hall way. You sure clear out stuff when you move things around. The carpet looks awesome now, its finally updated and soft.

Justin got called to go back to work last week and it just so happened that our daycare lady was taking vacation last week Thursday-this week. So I had to line up someone to watch Lane. Then he got a call back that it won't be until the end of this week. So Justin gets 3 days home with Lane and just incase he gets called I took Thursday off. 4 day weekend to spend with Lane.

I for some reason got ready fast this morning, don't ask me how I just did. And was playing with Lane my wonderful time with him during the week. And noticed he was alittle crabby and warm.Took his temp and it was 102.4 HELLO!!!!!!!!!! I called the hospital and they said for him to take some tylenol and see after 1 hours what the temp is then. Good thing an hour later it was back to 97. So I headed into work and Justin was home. I called the clinic to talk to the nurse and she said to watch it in the next 4 hours if it goes back up and then bring him in. Well Justin took it again in 4 hrs and it had stayed down. We are thinking its TEETHING TIME!!!

Now the real "truth" comes out how Lane acts. These poor little kids what they go through.

Last night I was making supper while Lane was playing in his bouncer, which he now thinks its boring because he likes his jumperoo. And he had his monkey hanging toy in his hand and close to his face makeing some deep noise. We say he was talking to his monkey or yelling at it.
OH yeah he's 5 months old now. He sure has come along way from October 15,2009-March 15, 2010. He's really getting to be a big boy. We are working on sitting up, sits up for a while but then leans forward. Rolls all the time the other day he rolled off his blankets because he would roll then roll again. Rolly Polly!!! Puts anything and everything in his mouth(hint the teething) and talks (blabs) non-stop.

Nothing special about this post just wanted to let you know that we have a teether and a 5 month old who talks to plastic monkey's.

Its nice to have 1 color flooring. Oh yeah and we got our bedroom carpet in, our rooms now smell like new carpet. So soft on our feet and looks really nice.

We are much better at eating with a spoon now and enjoy kicking our legs and waving our hands around while we eat. He's such a happy boy, I think he is just testing us saying "I'm a good boy now, you just wait!"

Thats ok we need this excitment in our lives. What did we do at home when Lane wasn't here?

It Has Begun!

I promised you pictures so here is a couple pictures of the flooring.

Not finished but Justin has been working very hard to get it done. Poor guy has a cold and sore knees from work on it yesterday but is really motivated to get it done. Such a wonderful husband.

I got home last night and boy does it make a difference in our house. Its like we moved in to a whole new house. Of course it may be the floor or the fact that half of our stuff from the living room, dining room and soon kitchen is all in the spare bedroom. Sure looks nice and is worth it!!! Finally our house is getting done. Friday they are coming to put new carpet in our bedroom and Lane's bedroom.

Here is looking into part of the living room, of course it looks pretty bare. Oh and you can see over by the couch that the baseboards are off, Justin is also going to sand and restain them all. Nice new cherry baseboards soon to come!!

Hungry, Hungry Hippo

Big news here, we are getting our flooring tomorrow!!!!!!!!!!!

Justin will be starting on it this week and hopefully finish by this weekend or next week. I can't wait!!

I will get pictures up, I know I'm behind on getting pictures up. I'll try and get them soon. I have a video I want to post too with Lane and his new adventure his Jumperoo.

Friday we started Oatmeal Ceral. It took Lane alittle bit to figure the whole spoon and food going in his mouth but once he got it his mouth opened every time the spoon hit his mouth. He loves the food but doesn't like the fact that once you get the oatmeal in your mouth you have to swallow and then a couple seconds later then the next bite comes. Unlike a bottle you get it constant. Crazy kid! I'm sure I've said this before, he's like his mom ~ loves his food!

Lane's 4 month Appointment

17 lbs 2 oz and 26 in long. Getting big and changing by the minute. No one can tell who he looks like but most people say he looks like me.

There are moments when he makes a certain face that he looks like Justin and then when my mom holds him I think he looks like her/me. I should post a picture of me when I was a baby and Lane and see if anyone can see it. Mom found a picture of me at 6 months and first thing I said was Lane. He gets his good looks from his mom!!!

In like a Lamb, Out like a Lion

They say that March say "In like a Lamb, Out like a Lion" means if the weather is nice at the beggining of March its in like a lamb so then March is out like a lion, meaning bad weather. Well March was in like a lamb.

My point is my March is kind of In like a Lion, so to look forward my end of March should be out like a lamb. Things will get better. I have just felt like the world has stopped and playing the same crap over and over again.

Sunday, I notice Lane playing with his ear so I watched and Monday he was doing the same thing. Monday night he was pretty much up all night, he would lay on his left side and cry so him and I slept on the recliner togther.
Tuesday morning we went to the Dr again. He had to get his ear drained, which this time it was a different nurse and she was WAY nicer. She didn't do it as hard, and the Dr came in and he started crying. I feel so bad for Lane when I can tell him it will be ok and he has no idea what I'm saying. The cry of a little boy is heartbreaking.
Well Lane has another ear infection so we are trying a new medication.

Someone recommened going to a Chiropractor here. Dr. Mary. I got Lane in for Friday morning to see her. A lot of people have said they really like her, so I'm hoping she can help Lane so our next resort isn't tubes.

SPRING WEATHER PLEASE COME SO ALL THE KIDS CAN GET HEATHLY AND TAKE AWAY ALL THE GERMS.

I'm in the need to get away and do some shopping!!! Tax return hurry up and get here.

On a good note I'm getting a hot stone massage tonight, should be very relaxing.
