Spending Time with my Wonderful Husband

Another wedding this past Friday, unfortunately I didn't get any pictures but it was a beautiful reception and dance. We didn't make it to the ceremony but I heard it was a good one. The bride even wore her boots and spurs in the ceremony as she showed them to everyone after lighting the candle!!! I went to high school with the bride and groom and showed horses with the bride. Justin knew the bride through 4H. Of course we didn't stay out to late as Justin is tired come Friday night and well I don't late much longer after 10:30.

Another sleep in Saturday morning, which I'm taking advantage of them for now until our little one comes along! Justin went out to the farm and took Tuff with and I stayed at home with Roper. You would think that they would like being apart for a while but Roper was sitting at the end of the driveway waiting for Tuff to come back home. Everytime he heard a diesel his ears would stick up. But I kept him company for a while we played fetch for an hour, YES an HOUR. I tell you this dog is a fetchaholic none stop running after the ball. Then Justin got back and we both took a nap. Yes a lazy Saturday for us!!! Then we headed over to Arlington to the 1481 Grill for supper with the Vostad's. It was Dave's(Justin's dad) 53rd Birthday so we all had supper there. THEY HAVE AMAZING FOOD!!!!! Then headed home and again were in bed before 11:00.

Sunday was clean the house day, my wonderful husband helped me clean and it felt so good to be home and get some cleaning done. Justin brought his dad's tractor over to our house to fill in some holes in our drive way with gravel. Boy, did that make a difference. Cleaned up Lane's room and took pictures. Here is his room finished.

Here is a picture of one corner with his dresser(which was my grandmas) and the rocking chair.

Picture of his crib and the cool mobile that matches the bedding from one of my friends. Notice the CAT dump truck under his bed, I had to buy it.

Here is his changing table filled with lots of stuff from my shower.

Here is a picture of a diaper bag my friend made me. I love it!

And last a picture of Lane Frost's Rodeo picture that is hanging in one corner of his room. Though Lane can't get any ideas to become a bull rider. Dont think mommy can handle her son being a bull rider. And a shelf with 2 pairs of cowboy boots and a horse.

Sunday was a very windy day, I can't believe how much the wind picked up that afternoon. It sure is fall!!! Today(Monday the 28th) sure is a fall day cold and windy. But this pregnant lady is loving it!!! OH yeah and Sunday I wanted something sweet and sugary so I made M&M cookies. I am a big fan of eating the cookie dough while I'm baking the cookies and of course I had alittle but made sure I backed off of it knowing that isn't good for you sure isnt good for baby inside me. OH IT WAS YUMMY THOUGH!!! And the cookies turned out good I made alot extra so Justin could take them to work.

Now its October(in a few days) and our weekdays/weekend are slowing down and that means I need to get ready for baby to come. "I think" I'm ready I just need to for sure pack my bag, Lane's is all ready and do a few things around the house. But no matter if I'm ready or not he'll come and everything will work out.
Dave(Justin's dad) wanted Lane to come on his birthday, Saturday. Which of course would have been cool but I was not ready for him to come this early and we want to avoid September because there are way to many people in his family and 1 in mine who have birthday's in September so good thing Lane listened to him mommy and he didn't make his apperance.

6 weeks or less left!!!!!!!

Wedding

Saturday, September 19

Jamie & Tyler got MARRIED!!!!

Beautiful Day, Beautiful Wedding!

I was one of the Personal Attendents, I got all the stuff ready for the ceremony which was outside at McCory Gardens. With help from the wonderful groom and groomsmen helping me set up the chairs. It was a hot but little windy day, at least there was some shade for this Very Pregnant Lady and my wonderful husband was there to help me.
Here is a picture of me at 33 weeks and daddy to be. The shirt makes my belly look funny, but the shirt in real life actually looked really cute. Got to the reception and dance and finally got to sit and eat and relax. Then it was the dance. I was acutally feeling great and danced more than I thought I would. Justin had a few to drink so he was wild and crazy dancing right with me.
Two of our good friends getting married, it calls for a GREAT time!

Baby Lane I even think enjoyed the dance. He was moving like crazy all night when mommy was out on the dance floor. I think he really liked when they played AC/DC he was just bouncing around in my belly. I think we will have a crazy one on our hands.

By the time we got home around 12:00-12:30 I think it was I was so tired and sore I went straight to bed and was out like a light. We slept in until 10:00(or at least I did). Went and got some groceries and went out to the farm to let the dogs run and Justin helped his dad. Tuff and Roper were to interested in Dave & Peggy's female dogs to worry about running around. What horny dogs!!! Got home did a few things around the house, mainly sat on my butt because my feet were so sore ate some supper and went to bed. I think I will be taking it easy this week and going to bed early.
Oh yeah my brother woke up Saturday morning with swollen glands, so I'm not aloud to go to my parents house. Poor thing can't eat much because it hurts his throat, hopefully he'll get better soon.

Oh yeah 7 weeks left!!!!!

Well that was it for our weekend, it sure was a fun time. What great Friends we have!!!

Adventure Bound

What a long exciting weekend we had!!!

Friday night started out Steaks at 1481 Grill, which by the way is the best place to eat. Great food. Went with my mom, dad and brother and of course Justin and I. We all had steaks which for Justin is a big thing. So if it snows this week its all his fault. Yummy!!!!
Incase you didn't know my big thing while being pregnant is steak and potatos so that was a great treat for me.

Saturday morning we headed out to Huron for the State Fair, this year it was just a one day deal. Since being pregnant I didn't want to stay to long there and wanted to sleep in my own bed. Which I'm glad becasue Justin and I were tired by the time we got home(as we didnt' get up until 10:00 Sunday morning). Great time, Kelly showed Satruday afteroon for the Angus Special and got 2nd place. That girl is getting better and better every year, Watch Out!! I'm so proud to have her as my niece. Konnor(my nephew) and I went to the FFA petting zoo and the Feeding zoo to see all the baby animals. I'm not sure who enjoyed it more. Then as we were heading back to the camper we had to stop for a Milk Shake. Yummy!!! Great time to bond with my cute nephew and Baby Lane's buddy. As Konnor is very excited for his buddy Lane to come into the world. Konnor wants to show a pig in 4H when he's old enough but Grandpa Dave says no. I told him that him and Lane will have to gang up on Grandpa and get him to buy them pigs to show in 4H. I'm guessing its still going to be a no.
Surprising Justin and I didn't buy anything at the fair other than drinks and food. Though I was very tempted to bring home a lab puppy they had for sale a the FFA Petting Zoo. I love lab puppies. But I know I know, 2 dogs are enough for me expecially when a little baby is coming. Maybe some day!!

Sunday, we just laid around as we were both tired and just wanted a day of relaxing. We went to town to get some supper McDonalds(this pregnant woman likes McD's for some reason) groceries and rented some movies. Nice Relaxing Day together.

Monday, again we slept in hey its a holiday and weekend we have to take the sleeping in now.
Picked up my dad's pickup box trailer and hauled it to our house to clean out the dog house to put some new straw in there and pick up some branches we had taken down a couple weeks ago. A trailer full. Boy did Tuff like his new straw in the house. Justin spred the straw out and Tuff was right in there making his spot in the straw, for a while he wouldn't come out of the house he just wanted to lay in it. Makes me happy and feel good that I know he likes his house. I always feel bad when I have to put them away in their kennel at night. I know they love being outdoors but I sure do miss them inside. Like I said to Justin the other day how spoiled Tuff was when he was little sleeping in our bed and being right there on the couch with us. I miss that. I just can't wait for Baby Lane and Tuff and Roper to play togther. I think Roper will enjoy having someone his size to play with. Oh yeah Monday morning my wonderful husband made french toast and bacon for breakfast. YUMMY!!! It was so good. I guess we ate pretty good this weekend.
Finished up Justin's laundry and did some things around the house getting ready for the next week. Had brats and burgers for supper and watched some tv and headed to bed.
Now Back to work!!!

But we have a busy month ahead of use. 2 weddings in September. Which I think will make September go fast and then it will be October and soon BABY will be here!!! Aaahhh, I know its alittle but when I think of how fast September is going to go it gets me alittle worried. Right now I'm not worried about the labor its being and getting prepared and everything done. Which if you know me I am a planned and things need to be prepared. SO I guess its Nesting time!!!

Hope everyone had a great Labor Day weekend!!!

No pictures with this blog, hoping to get the nursery "cleaned" and take some pictures of it finalized so everyone can see.

Saturday I had my friend Jamie's bridal shower, Jamie & Tyler are getting married September 19,2009. I am one of the Personal Attendants. Then Justin and I headed to their new home to check it out. They bought a cute acreage north of Brookings.

Justin headed to Nunda for a birthday party at the bar with his friends while I stayed back and at Mom & Dad's and mom and I watched Baby Mama. I had seen it before but thought mom would get a kick out of it. Which she thought it was funny. 10:00 I headed home and hit the bed and was out until 1:30-2:00 when I heard my hubby finally come home. At least he was quiet about it.

Sunday we headed to Sioux Falls to do some shopping which I "think" we have everything ready for baby Lane. Which I have to say we went to Shopko and we bought a few things and it turned out that everything was on sale so we saved some money. Bargian Shopper!! Bought the mattress so now I can wash the bedding and get his crib ready for him. Of course he'll be sleeping in mommy and daddy's room for a while in his cute pack & play that my Aunts bought him.
After we got home we took the dogs out to Dave & Peggy's to run around since I was busy this week, I didn't have much time to play fetch with them. And they love running around at the farm anyway. Of course I had to see the cute puppies. Lady (Dave & Peggy's German Short Hair) had 12 puppies and boy are they growing fast. Very cute!!! I'm glad I only need(see as I say need not want) 2 dogs because I don't know which one I would pick. I told Dave he should just keep all of them. They are keeping one cute little female and they named her Molly which I think is a very cute name. Molly liked ganging up on Tuff, Tuff on the other hand wasn't to sure about this little thing biting his tail. But it sure was cute watching them. Then we headed back home to finish up our stuff to get ready for the work week. I was tired, 3rd trimester is treating me good but is very tiring.

Then off to bed!!

Justin called me last night to let me know that they are staying in this hunting lodge and its a pretty "sweet" place. Tons of mounts everywhere you look. He said there is a cool Buffalo head that has I think he said Indian Carvings in it. He was going to take a picture of it on his phone. He didn't want to talk last night so he could go check the place out. I asked him if he was going to come home or stay there. He said it was a toss up!!!

Had a great week last week but it was just way to busy for me.Wednesday I went to see my friend Jenny and her new baby boy Neil Walker, who was born August 18. What a precious little boy. The faces he makes are way cute! Thursday my friend Abby came up to our house and had supper with me. I made a roast, potatos, and jello. She brought Better Than Sex Cake. Very good!!!

Now on to a 4 day work week and 4 day weekend. Can't wait!! Though I'm very sad beacuse we were suppose to be going to Buffalo,SD this week to see our dear friends Nathan & Erica but since I get car sick on anything over 1 hour drive we decided we'll meet up with them in February for the Stock Show. So I can't wait for November and February. Miss you guys!!

Saturday, August 29 was week 30! 10 more weeks left or less if he decides to come early.
Oh yeah I ordered a car seat cover from Cabela's last week and it says it should be here tomorow, so I can't wait to see that.

Well that is it for now.
Hope you enjoyed this weekend update.

Friends & Family are Wonderful

Saturday, August 15

28 weeks!!! Here is a picture of Justin and I at the wedding we went too.

Thursday, August 20

I had my glucose test at my Dr. Appt. This is where you have to drink some orange flavored drink, which acutally tastes like orange pop. Then wait an hour and go back to the lab and get your blood drawn. Because my blood type is Rh- I had to get a shot (below the waist) as well. So this Dr Appt was filled with things I'm not to fond of. But I did great with the shot and I was on Cloud 9 thinking I could do anything. I said bring on labor!!! Ask me that in 2 months! The Clinic hasn't called me so I'm guessing I passed the test. Dr. G said if I failed I would have to come back for a 3 hour test, not what I want to do. Headed home after the appt and felt alittle bit of "nesting" going on so I cleaned the toilets, cleaned up around the hosue and washed Lane's clothes, boy does he have alot of clothes. Which I hear that is a good thing because they spit up alot.

Saturday, August 22

First went to church that night with mom and my aunt. Being pregnant I think the AC needs to kick in alittle bit higher, boy do I get hot fast. I have been liking these cool days, but when I'm not pregnant I love the hot weather. There was a little baby boy getting baptized and Oh did it make me want Baby Lane to be here(not that I want him to come early) I just want it to be November 5 (my grandmas birthday I hope he comes on). But 2 months and it will be and time is going fast!!

At supper with 2 of my friends, one who lives in MN who I haven't seen in a long time. We ate at Cubby's then went for Ice Cream at Zesto. You can never pass up ice cream. Strawberry the best!!

Then I(Justin was already there) headed out to Elkton for a Engagement Party at a friends of the Vostad's. What a beautiful night it was to sit outside on a farm around a fire. The stars where out and the weather was just perfect. I heard I missed some good food, of course pot luck parties always have good food.

Sunday, August 23

My Baby Shower put on by my wonderful mother and 3 aunts

Lots of friends and family came and brought wonderful very useful gifts. I was very surpirsed at all that we got. I am very blessed to have such amazing friends and family. Konnor my nephew came with his mom(Justin's sister) and he was excited to help me open the presents. Jesse, Konnor's mom, said that he is excited for his "buddy" Lane to come so he can play with him and I guess he wants to give Lane all of his clothes that don't fit him. Which Jesse said won't fit him until he's 5, but its the wonderful thought a soon to be 6 year old has. I told Konnor him and Lane are going to have to buddy up and con Grandpa Vostad into getting a pig. Konnor wants to show pigs but Grandpa V won't get any pigs. I told Konnor if we get a farm I'll buy him a pig, but Justin doesn't think so. We'll see!!!

My aunts and cousins came to our house after the shower to see the nursery, which is all done being decorated just adding all the little things. And we had chicken supper, great family bonding time. Of course time goes fast when we are all together and everyone had to head home and we sat on the couch and rested. Things wear me out fast!! But it was all worth it!!

Now that I have blogged a couple of times let me know what you think. Should I contiune or just stop while I'm here? :)

Achievement Days 2009

Here is Kelly my niece showing her Heifer this year at Achievement Days! She did AWESOME!!

Grand Champion Angus Heifer- Very Proud now on to the State Fair

This is what happens at our house during the week when Justin is gone and I am playing with "the boys" Tuff and Roper. $15.00 Wal-Mart Pool and some hot days.

Big Update...since its been a couple months since the last blog

Hello Everyone,

Alright to speed things up.
June 25,2009 we found out we're having a BOY.
Lane ~ Lane after Lane Frost the bull rider (8 seconds movie) and Gale after Justin's grandfather who was a calf roper. Of course mommy is hoping he'll be a calf roper/steer wrestler and not a bull rider.

We are slowly and surely getting his room finished. (see pictures) The walls are yellow, bedding is yellow, red, blue with baby horses on it.I found letters at Hobby Lobby and painted them blue to hang on his wall. My aunt found these cool vintage horse and little cowboy wall art, in one corner we have a picture of Lane Frost next to a shelf with cowboy boots and a horse on it. Pretty much anything rodeo, horse and cows is the theme for his room.

His clothes selection is getting bigger and bigger. We have noticed he has more camoflauge clothes than mommy and daddy. And lots of road construction outfits so he can be just like daddy.

Its been a very busy summer. A couple trips, weddings, getting ready for baby, relaxing, hanging out with friends. We were suppose to head to Buffalo in September but I found out in June that I get car sick so we decided that 7 months pregnant and a 8 hour car ride wouldn't be a good idea. But Wagner's who we were going to go visit are going to the Stock Show so we have booked our hotel room and are going to be headed out to Rapid in February to hang out with them then. We are very excited!!!!

The end of July a few of my cousins came home from Oregon and Illinois and we headed up to stayed the weekend at my aunts and uncles farm and had a bonfire and of course roasted marshmellows. It was a great time.

August:
My big 24 birthday, nothing special went on. Justin was just glad to be home and not work the weekend. I bought myself Horton Hears a Who for my birthday since that is another one of my favorite movies.

August 15 we had a wedding here in town. The reception was at the brides parents house where they built a cool barn to hold it in. It was one awesome wedding/reception/dance. Justin even danced. Of course he had to dance with the bride to jitter bug because the spinning and being hot didn't go well with his pregnant wife, but he did do alot of slow dances with me. What a wonderful Husband I have!!!

This weekend: August 22-23
Saturday we have a engagement party for some friends and Sunday is my baby shower which I'm excited for and to see some friends I haven't seen for a long time. Should be another great weekend!!

That is all I have for now, I'll try and keep updated on this more than 7 months.

Hope you enjoyed it!

4th of July
